Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Participants will be introduce to the procedure of analog video tape preservation in a ‘best practice’ situation, this will include:

         -  Preparation of, and investigation on source materials.

         -  Technical specifications for the studio set-up.

         -  Procedure of signal measurement and quality control.

         -  Options for long term digital storage.

         -  Methods of data registration.

During the workshop we will experience how the digitization process of a original video tape proceeds in practice. All kinds of irregularities will occur during this process, which will teach us what type of variables we have to deal with besides the theoretical basics.
